• You may have to buy a second stairlift if the first one is beyond repair

• It is easier to reduce the length of stairlift track to suit your staircase
• Some stairlifts can be rehanded to fit either side of the staircase
• A straight stairlift installed with a platform is a cheaper installation than a curved stairlift
