Reconditioned stairlifts can be quite a bit cheaper than the new stairlift option but please remember that prices will vary tremendously from place to place and that the age and quality of the stairlift is reflected by the price.
The advantages of buying a reconditioned stairlift.

- Reconditioned curved stairlifts can be installed faster
The disadvantages of buying a reconditioned stairlift.
- Limited choice of options available
- It could be difficult to find the right stairlift for your staircase
- Once the stairlift is out of warranty It could be difficult to find spare parts if the stairlift is no longer in production
- You may have to buy a second stairlift if the first one is beyond repair

- The quality of reconditioned stairlifts will vary
- It is easier to reduce the length of stairlift track to suit your staircase
- Some stairlifts can be rehanded to fit either side of the staircase
- A straight stairlift installed with a platform is a cheaper installation than a curved stairlift
